Nicola Mitchell – Independent Social Worker (Parenting Assessments) Aruna Care NW Ltd
I am an Independent Social Worker currently working with Aruna Care NW Ltd, specialising in completing robust, evidence-based parenting assessments as part of the organisation’s family assessment service.
With over 30 years of experience working with children and families, I bring a deep commitment to child-centred practice and a strengths-based approach. I believe every child has the right to grow up within their birth family where it is safe and appropriate, and my work is underpinned by this core belief.
I am a registered social worker with a strong background in child protection, permanence, and court work within local authorities.
I also have leadership experience in the voluntary sector, including time as a team manager with the NSPCC.
My expertise includes:
