At Aruna Care NW, we are committed to supporting parents beyond their 14-week residential assessment at our family centre in Kirkby. As part of our holistic approach, we offer an additional 6 weeks of resettlement support to families who live within a 30-mile radius of the centre.
What the Resettlement Support Includes:
- Weekly One-to-One Visits: A dedicated support worker will visit the parent once a week for 3 hours, offering tailored support within their home environment.
- Tenancy Support: Guidance in managing and sustaining tenancies, ensuring a stable and secure living situation.
- Budgeting & Healthy Living: Help with managing finances and planning healthy meals on a budget, promoting well-being for both parent and child.
- Parenting Support: Practical advice and emotional support to build confidence and strengthen parenting skills.
- Access to Local Services: Assistance in connecting with relevant local services and parenting groups in the area, helping to build strong community networks.
- Education, Training, and Employment: Support workers will work with parents to explore their goals and aspirations, and provide pathways to access education, training, or employment opportunities.
- Multi-Agency Involvement: Our team will attend strategy meetings and liaise closely with local authorities, ensuring a smooth and well-supported transition from Aruna House back into the community.

Additional Information:
All parents will be offered the Resettlement Support prior to leaving Aruna House. The programme will be discussed with their social worker to ensure it aligns with the individual plan for the parent. There will be no additional charge to the local authority, as this support is included in the costings for the 14-week assessment at Aruna House.
